Winter Reimagined: Reuse, Revive and Sing

Join us for sustainable craft workshops bringing life back to unloved materials, and proving that December doesn’t have to cost the Earth.

Create your own winter fun with sustainable craft workshops making beautiful things from old and waste materials, accompanied by uplifting songs and a giant festive sing-a-long.

Join textile artist Sue Man of ESEA Unseen for an afternoon of fabric collage and making pouches using discarded textiles as a festive gift to others or yourself. Learn to make a drawstring pouch/bag for air pods, glasses, jewellery or snacks, with Man and other textile artists on hand to demonstrate and guide the sewing. Grab a needle and chat away.

The afternoon is accompanied by a learn-to-sew basics table, teaching beginners easy first stitches and vital button-sewing techniques, alongside a DIY make-your-own-Christmas-cracker workshop with Elizabeth Jackson.

From 1pm, Let’s Go Gospel Choir brings their unique, festive energy to the floor, offering a fun, joyful, and interactive performance for all the family to enjoy. Join in the celebrations with a repertoire that spans gospel, soul, pop and reggae, along with Christmas classics.

Winter Reimagined aims to use only reused or waste materials throughout the day, partnering with scrap projects and getting inventive to make use of scraps and salvaged materials.

Schedule
1pm – 2pm: Performance by Let’s Go Gospel Choir
