When Stories Come Alive!
Words jump off the page, images come alive and music fills the air as we bring stories to life using live music and illustration. Come and be part of the story!
Storyteller Niall Moorjani, musician Diana Redgrave and illustrator Sav Akyuz bring their expert skills to whip up magical, fantastical worlds of fire-breathing dragons, kingdoms and all-you-can-eat feasts!
Sav Akyuz is an award winning children’s illustrator and author, as well as an acclaimed storyboard artist in film and advertising. In 2020, during the lockdown, he started a live online drawing workshop for children, which gained popularity due to his fun and engaging personality and easily accessible method of drawing.
Niall Moorjani is a non-binary, neurodiverse, Scottish-Indian writer and storyteller based between London and Edinburgh. They write for both children and adults, but at the core of all their work are themes of hope, joy and kindness. They have performed at festivals all over the world including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Kathakar International Storytelling Festival (Delhi) and Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
Diana Redgrave is a storyteller and music-maker based in Kent and London. She plays the cello, sometimes with a loop pedal to build up layers of sound. Added to this she uses a shruti box, tongue drums, her voice, and a variety of other sound-makers to evoke atmospheres in stories. She is the composer and on-stage musician for Niall Moorjani’s Fairie Tale, and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the International Storytelling Festival and The Vault Festival.
