Here are the essentials for Sleepover Club:
- Sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Pyjamas
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Washbag
- Water bottle (there are water filling points on-site)
You may also wish to bring:
- Eye mask (some lights will be left on overnight for everyone’s safety)
- Ear plugs (all our sleepover attendees are sharing a space, so ear plugs may help light sleepers settle in)
Please note, shower facilities are not available on site. Inflatable mattresses are also not permitted.
We advise having an evening meal before arriving at the Southbank Centre. Alternatively, you can eat your dinner at the Southbank Centre by arriving at our site in plenty of time before the talk An Evening with Jacqueline Wilson, which starts at 6pm.
There is also a snack break where we provide light theme-based snacks for all campers. This is also an opportunity to finish any dinner brought along with you; please make sure this is packed separately to your sleeping gear.
We supply breakfast in the morning, which typically includes a croissant, cereal bar, fruit and juice with tea available for adults.
If a camper in your group has food intolerances or allergies, please let us know by noting it in the questions in the booking process.
All sleepers will be provided with a camping mat.
Your group will remain together for the whole event and will sleep in the same space. Please make sure you always supervise your children throughout the event, including during sleep time.
Please remember that any children attending the Sleepover Club must be aged 7 – 11 years old, and accompanying adults must be 18 or over.
Throughout the sleepover there are staff members of all genders working and supervising overnight.
This event is only suitable for children aged 7 – 11 and their parents, carers or guardians. This allows us to theme activities in an age-appropriate way and ensure we are operating with our safeguarding guidelines.
The minimum party size is one adult and one child. Unfortunately, due to limited space, we can’t accommodate groups bigger than five.
The maximum number of tickets you can select per booking is five. Adult tickets are limited to one per booking, with up to four children. This event is low capacity with a priority given to children attending. Every adult and child needs a ticket, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
