Special Edition: The Fourth Space

Explore experience with four contemporary South Asian writers as they read and discuss their poems in relation to the concept of the fourth space.

The fourth space is a concept imagined by writers Sandeep Parmar, Nisha Ramayya, and Bhanu Kapil as a critical and creative resistance for South Asian writers to have space to explore the complexities of lived experience on their own terms.

Sascha Aurora Akhtar, Hafsah Aneela Bashir, Jamal Mehmood and Alycia Pirmohamed read and discuss their poems, followed by a Q&A session.

This event is for those interested in contemporary poetics and publishing, and for aspiring writers to explore and understand the complexities and realities of writing experience.
