Relaxed Hours: Haegue Yang

26 Nov 2024, 10am – 3pm

Take in our current exhibition, Haegue Yang: Leap Year in a relaxed environment with additional support at our Relaxed Hours event.

Come along for a guided tour of the exhibition or explore at your own pace. Spend some time in our Relaxed Hours studio spaces, with workshops and activities throughout the day for you to play, create and reflect with artists and the Southbank Centre’s Arts & Wellbeing Team.

Explore colour, shape and materials in Haegue Yang’s artworks through playful sensory activities, and create a large paper collage artwork with artist Bethany Mitchell. Inspired by Haegue Yang’s artworks, discover sensory sculpture, woven materials and sound, and create sculptures with everyday objects with artist Georgia Akbar.

We welcome everyone to the gallery throughout our opening hours but we also recognise that some visitors may require a more relaxed approach to noise and movement in the space, or additional support to experience exhibitions fully – such as those with sensory processing differences, neurodivergent visitors or those living with neurological conditions, as well as early-year visitors, parents and carers.

We don’t expect visitors to be quiet. It is a time and space for you to be yourself. Take up space with reduced exhibition capacity. Quieter, chill-out spaces and noise-cancelling headphones are available.

We encourage bookings from SEND schools and community groups.

Relaxed Hours are generously supported by City Bridge Foundation and the U.S. Embassy London.
