Mould the Moment: Sip & Sculpt
Find a laid-back space for making, musing and maybe a little me-time, where you can shape connection through your voice, your hands and some clay.
Mould the Moment is an outdoor sip-and-sculpt session inviting you to slow down and sink into creativity. Clay makers Princess Fingall and Ruby Laurent gently guide you to create and decorate clay pots using the pinch and coil method. These serve as personal canvases, reflecting emotions and experiences.
The event is hosted by Salwa, one of London’s most prominent voices celebrating individuality, with a soundtrack of familiar grooves and head-nodding rhythms from Raimund Wong. Providing live music for the event are two of London’s most exciting up and coming artists: Asha Gold brings silky R&B melodies while Malick LIVES plays a blend of UK rap’s bouncy flow with soulful samples.
Princess Fingall is a London based ceramist and kiln technician on Channel 4’s Great British Pottery Throwdown. Drawing inspiration from her heritage, craftsmanship and identity, her practice intertwines form, tradition and heritage.
Ruby Laurent is a ceramic artist whose work explores movement, depth, and form through a harmonious blend of wheel-thrown and hand-building techniques. She brings a thoughtful, expressive approach to her practice, allowing each piece to evolve organically through touch and intuition.
Known for her colourful, creative aesthetic and unapologetic self-expression, Salwa has become a standout voice in beauty, fashion and culture, redefining modest fashion. Beyond style, she uses her platform to share honest reflections on faith, identity and womanhood.
Raimund Wong has a diverse graphic and sound practice that draws on musique concrète and dub. He strives to present an optimistic, eternal view of mankind where sounds and voices from disparate space and time can work together in harmony.
London’s Asha Gold blends silky pop melodies with contemporary R&B production, harnessing the cool power of the city, as well as her Indian heritage. Her R&B-inflected pop prioritises nuanced and unpredictable lyricism, along with atypical percussion and production.
