LUXE
This event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Tying together melodies with effortless sophistication, the musician captures an expansive, haunting sound all of her own.
A vital new voice in modern composition, LUXE is a London-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and performer.
Recently signed to Decca’s Mercury KX, LUXE draws together classical music, electronic production and contemporary sound art, turning both back to her classical background and towards the open-ended possibilities of electronic music and live spatial audio.
LUXE’s varied practices are ultimately united by her creative versatility and instinctive grasp of sound. As DJMag once said: ‘LUXE makes it look easy’.
In recent music and upcoming projects you can witness a deeply personal form of worldbuilding. The music weaves together harp, flute and strings with intricate electronics to create evocative soundscapes. The richly textured acoustic–electronic works journey through themes including memory, folklore and place.
A seasoned live performer, LUXE’s shows expand her work with immersive, spatially mixed sound and collaborations with classical instrumentalists. Watch as the boundaries between concert hall, club and installation dissolve.
LUXE has supported Jon Hopkins in the UK and brought her performances to Draaimolen, the ICA and Bimhuis, Amsterdam. LUXE is also a dedicated curator, spotlighting innovative musicians and centring experimentation, a DJ and a composer for film, fashion and advertising.
