Lawrence Power & Âme: Reflections
Our Purcell Room is transformed into an immersive instrument by the viola player and his creative studio, with music by Bach, George Benjamin and Arvo Pärt.
Âme creative studio returns to our Purcell Room with violist Lawrence Power, a current Resident Artist, to transform the space into an immersive multimedia instrument, vibrating with kaleidoscopic video, beautiful music and dynamic sound design.
Alongside director Jessie Rodger and sound designer Brett Cox, Power leads a concert experience that plays with our perceptions of performance, space and music – all that glitters is not necessarily what it seems.
A reflection on mirrors and all the magic that they hold, shimmering cinematic visuals are paired with bespoke lighting design and shards of sound sent dancing around the room.
Featuring music by Bach, George Benjamin, Arvo Pärt and some unexpected surprises.
