Jazz Yoga with Yazz Ahmed & Marisse Gaskell

Join us for the latest edition of Jazz Yoga with trumpeter Yazz Ahmed and yoga instructor Marisse Gaskell, as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Jazz Yoga creates an immersive experience for all yoga levels, marrying movement and music, and exploring the powerful effect this unity can have on the individual and a whole group flowing through a practice as one.

Yazz Ahmed is a renowned trumpeter, flugelhornist and composer who blurs the lines between jazz and electronic sound design. She is also a yoga enthusiast. Playing alongside this yoga session, she seeks to transport participants into an enchanting and beautiful soundscape, perfectly complementing the yoga movements and poses.

Ahmed plays an improvised set, making this a unique opportunity to see her playing in this style and setting.

Marisse Gaskell is a yoga instructor who teaches from an understanding that everybody is unique in anatomy, experience and preference, and her playful, light-hearted, teaching approach aims to foster an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Expect this session to flow with a gentle yet invigorating energy, incorporating elements of playfulness while also grounding you and creating space for stillness.
