International Booker Prize Shortlist Readings: Live Stream
Tune in to hear the six authors and their translators shortlisted for the International Booker Prize 2025 read from and discuss their books via livestream.
The International Booker Prize celebrates the world’s best fiction, in translation. Each year it introduces readers to the finest novels and short story collections from around the globe that have been translated into English and published in the UK and/or Ireland.
This year’s judging panel is chaired by bestselling Booker Prize-longlisted author Max Porter. He is joined by prize-winning poet, director and photographer Caleb Femi; writer and Publishing Director of Wasafiri, Sana Goyal; author and International Booker Prize-shortlisted translator Anton Hur; and award-winning singer-songwriter Beth Orton.
Along with its celebration of international fiction, the prize recognises the vital work of translators with the £50,000 prize money divided equally between the author and the translator. In addition, the shortlisted authors and translators each receive £2,500. The longlist is announced in February, the shortlist in April and the winner in May, following the event.
