Haegue Yang is one of the leading contemporary artists working internationally today. Her multi-sensory installations and sculptures highlight a range of issues such as labour, migration and displacement.

Leap Year is the first major survey of her work in the UK. It presents a comprehensive study of Yang’s work from the early 2000s to today, highlighting how her artworks resonate on a personal and sensory level while also speaking to social, political and spiritual ideas.

This is a unique opportunity to hear from the artist in conversation with Hayward Gallery Senior Curator Yung Ma.

Ma says: ‘Haegue Yang has consistently sought to expand our perception of what it means to be culturally fluid or socio-politically engaged artistically, creating series after series of works that are at once sensual, expressive and captivating.’
