GROOVE

Fri 5 Jun & Sat 6 Jun 2026

In a lively dance concert, The Ruggeds and Ghetto Funk Collective take us 50 years back in time to the era of James Brown, Nina Simone and Herbie Hancock.

In GROOVE, the world’s best dancing crews have joined forces to make an unforgettable night out, guiding us on a journey through the evolution of funk, soul, hip-hop, house and everything in between.

These dancers are not just dancing and the musicians are not just playing the instruments: they’re multidisciplinary artists who surprise with spectacular dance moves and improvisation.

A concert that heavily leans on both dance and music, because one without the other leaves you no groove at all. Now’s a good time to put on your shiny shoes or heels and join our Bus Stop!

With a passion for creating and sharing dance, music and art that sets people in motion, Ghetto Funk Collective from Amsterdam is a family of creative individuals. They come together to form a unique movement, sound, and experience within their shared love for funk culture.

The Ruggeds are one of the world’s leading breaking crews, having just won Battle Of The Year Crew Championships 2025. Remaining true to themselves, they draw inspiration from hip-hop and street culture, unapologetically bringing it to the theatre.
