Get Your Groove On

Get your groove on at an eclectic afternoon of jazz and dance, with acclaimed dance-influenced artists, DJs and live dancers taking the stage.

This unmissable event features the talents of Habibti Nation, Mangorata, David Kayode, Diddy Sweg and AfroXh’ero, with live dancers from London Waacking Movement.

From groove-driven sounds and carnival rhythms, to the infectious beats of disco and garage, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Schedule
1.30pm – 2.30pm: Habibti Nation (DJ set)
Habibti Nation is a community, radio show and sold out club night showcasing underground electronic music from SWANA and the Arabic-speaking world with a focus on female, gender-nonconforming and trans artists.
2.30pm – 3.15pm: Mangorata
Resonant horns dance over rich jazz harmony on a stage of rhythms from Brazil to Cuba to swing and more in a deeply explorative sonic journey, never twice told the same.
3.15pm – 3.45pm: Habibti Nation DJ set
3.45pm – 4.30pm: David Kayode
For the past three years, rising saxophonist David Kayode has been cultivating this project, hand-picking members to create its distinctive, groove-driven sound. Growing up in north-west London, the influence of Carnival rhythms is just as prevalent as that of the west-African musicians he learned alongside.
4.30pm – 5pm: Habibti Nation DJ set
5pm – 5.45pm: Diddy Sweg
Intergalactic party starters Diddy Sweg have crash-landed onto the Earth music scene, bringing with them a live experience for any occasion.

6.15pm – 7pm: AfroXh’ero featuring Đjè ßýngï Xh’ūlu, Maluuka Manukaa & Magic EKJ
Born from the depths of Afri-Caribbean folklore, healing and mystery, are AfroXh’ero. Through movement, pumping bass lines and free flowing percussion, their featured artists tell a story to move your feet and stir your soul.
