futuretense: Reuben Aziz + JADA
Find your next favourite artist with up-and-coming artists influenced by hip-hop and R&B at this edition of our fortnightly free gig series.
21 year-old London-based, Southampton-born singer and producer Reuben Aziz has emerged as one to watch. His recently released debut mixtape highlights his talents as a bedroom producer, weaving sweet vocal harmonies, dreamy synths and understated beats around his melodic topline. Aziz’ blend of R&B, rap and pop accessibility is sure to connect with fans of Frank Ocean, Daniel Caesar and Drake.
Rising into the music scene from Hackney, JADA seeks to create soundscapes where intimacy is paramount, an environment of emotional safety where her art expresses her inner feelings. Coming from a musical upbringing where garage, gospel, hip-hop, jazz and R&B were ever-present, JADA describes her sound as ‘new wave R&B’, sampling R&B of the early noughties, and narrating the Gen-Z experience of today.
