Join us for a night of nostalgia, elegance and perhaps even a little romance, as the BBC Concert Orchestra whisks you away to 19th-century England. Under the baton of conductor Karen Ní Bhroin, the BBC Concert Orchestra brings to life evocative music from Bridgerton, Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma and Sherlock.
As well as featuring best-loved orchestral arrangements of contemporary pop songs featured in period dramas, this special edition of BBC Radio 3’s Friday Night is Music Night is filled with original music for screen that has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.
Ever daydreamed of waltzing around a Regency ballroom? Now’s your chance! Join us in The Clore Ballroom after the performance as dance mistress Libby Curzon, of Mrs Bennet’s Ballroom, leads us through the steps and sequences of authentic Regency dances and transports us to the world of Jane Austen’s novels. No experience – or chaperones – necessary.

A free post-show Regency ball experience takes place in The Clore Ballroom after the performance. Separate ticket required. Ticket holders for the concert can book free tickets to the experience as an optional add-on. Limited tickets are available.
An exclusive box package is available, which includes:
- Hire of a private box (seats up to eight people).
- Use of the Royal Retiring Room, a private lounge with its own toilet facilities, for the duration of the event.
- One free drink per guest on arrival (prosecco, wine, beer or soft drink).
- Dedicated host to take drinks orders throughout the event.

We’re working hard to remove barriers, so that our facilities and events can be accessible to as many people as possible.

On Level 2 of our Royal Festival Hall you can grab a slice of life by the Thames with drinks and freshly made pizza at our Festival Bar & Kitchen which opens out onto our Riverside Terrace. You can grab a coffee and a slice of freshly made cake from our Ballroom Cafe. Or alternatively enjoy destination dining in the restaurant at Skylon.
From coffee to cocktails, filling favourites to fine dining, plus some of London’s best street food – it’s all here at the Southbank Centre.
