Bollyqueer's Big Boogie
Boogie on down for a family dance day, where you can learn new moves and dance in a way that makes your heart and body feel its happiest.
With moves that transcend the traditional and tunes to get the whole family grooving, join us for a celebration of the magic and beauty of Bollywood dance, and embrace the unique way we can express ourselves.
Vinay is the founder of Bollyqueer, a vibrant Bollywood dance space that celebrates and empowers the LGBTQIA+ community. A queer, gender-non-conforming person from Leicester, Vinay is now based in London, where they continue to build inclusive spaces through the power of dance and culture.
Bollyqueer takes us on a journey from London to Mumbai, with stops across India to experience the joys of dancing in different styles and beats. With performances and workshops led by Bollyqueer’s dancers, accompanied by live dhol drumming and DJing from Lyvonne the Don, get ready for an adventure to the heart of Bollyqueer’s Big Boogie.
