Ben Folds Solo: Paper Airplane Request Tour
Choose the set list via paper airplane at this performance by the genre-defying singer-songwriter Ben Folds.
Last few tickets
Ben Folds’ Paper Airplane Request Tour is a concert format in which fans write their favourite Folds song requests on paper, fold them into airplanes and launch them toward the stage. The show consists of Folds performing a standard setlist for the first half, followed by an intermission.
At the start of the second half, fans are given a cue to launch their airplanes onto the stage. Folds then performs requests written on airplanes, which he randomly selects between each song.
Fans are encouraged to bring their pre-made paper airplanes to the show, but paper and pens are also available at the merchandise table for fans who wish to assemble theirs on site.
Ben Folds is an Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter who has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, a holiday album and numerous collaborative records.
He currently tours as a pop artist, while also performing for over two decades with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras.
Folds, who served for eight years as the first ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, stepped down from his post when Donald Trump announced his takeover of the Center.
A New York Times Best Selling author, Folds also creates new music for film, TV and theatre, including original songs for an ongoing series of animated Peanuts specials on Apple TV.
