bar italia
Pull up to the hottest bar in town. On the menu: the pulsating indie rock vibes of the sizzling London trio, bar italia.
Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton are bar italia.
After cultivating an underground following, in 2023 the band released two critically acclaimed albums on Matador only months apart – the poised Tracey Denim and the grand The Twits.
The collection of rock songs on their latest album, Some Like It Hot, transcends their underground roots to voraciously embrace main stage energy. The record pulses with romance, intrigue, self-discovery and rapture over lustful rockers, spellbinding folk pop, punch-drunk ballads and undefinable moments that sneak up on you like a burst of 5pm sunshine.
bar italia marries serious and heartfelt subject matter with a pure joy in showmanship. The trio’s vocals range from the airy and brooding to the hell-bent and possessed. Meanwhile, their songs twist their quirks into huge choruses, find elevation in tension and play with self-identity, emotion and performance until the lines blur.
bar italia have traversed the globe with headline performances from Istanbul to Tokyo, sold-out multi-night stints in New York and Los Angeles, and festivals including Corona Capital, Glastonbury and Coachella. Performing in over 160 shows across 2023 – 2024, they’re a band equally comfortable with riling up a festival mosh-pit as they are with delivering moments of pin-drop intimacy.
The Souvenirs blend uplifting, guitar-driven indie rock music with relatable songwriting that feels both nostalgic and brand new. Since forming in 2024, they have gone on to play at venues across London and become known for their irresistible energy, youthful swagger and ability to lift a room. They are currently recording their debut EP, Do You Think of Me at All, set for release in 2027.
Rocheman is a songwriter and producer from London. Recent releases include EPs Angel Storm and Virtua Saint, with his second studio LP, Basin, recently released on vinyl with The Hotel. Forthcoming works include self-directed feature film Taurus. For live performances, Rocheman performs as a quartet, with Fred Lomas (Kinn) on lead guitar, Tom Powell on drums and Tom Wright on keyboards.
