Architecture Tours
Join us on a tour of our modernist and brutalist buildings to explore decades of architectural innovation and see the Southbank Centre from a new perspective.
The beautiful auditorium and glass-walled foyers of the Royal Festival Hall have made it one of the country’s most iconic artistic venues for almost 75 years. How did its architects achieve such a future-proof masterpiece in under two years of construction?
Love it or hate it, the concrete landscape of the next-door Queen Elizabeth Hall has been dividing opinion since it was built in 1967. Have you ever wondered why it’s such an irregular shape, or why it looks as though the concrete is made from wood? Now’s your chance to find out.
Join us on an architecture tour, and hear from those who know the buildings and their history inside out.
