See a spectacle being created before your eyes at a live-coded electronic music event, with an interactive workshop by AlgoRhythms and music from MUSICxCODE.
Writing code in real time to control the visuals and audio, responding to the room and creating with pure spontaneity, ‘algoravers’ are artists who make something spectacular on the spot.
Drop in for an interactive afternoon to see how the code impacts the sound and visuals, speak to experienced algoravers and get a taster of how it all works and the platforms (Strudel and Hydra) you can use to try it for yourself!
Rooted in dance music but expanding out into new technological terrain, ‘algoraves’ are a growing phenomenon of audiovisual artists experimenting and playing with algorithmic tools.
Hosting the afternoon is UK-based AlgoRhythms, who specialise in making sound and art experiments using code, sound and visuals to create immersive and interactive experiences.
Then, a line-up of creative technologists, live coders, designers and digital artists from Peckham Digital’s MUSICxCODE cohort turn it up a notch with a high-energy algorave.
Come and hear a unique sonic moment never to be repeated and celebrate the collaborative, open-source culture of live coding.

Andrés Martínez Llorente is a creative technologist whose live-coding performances combine familiar grooves with experimental sound and visuals. His goal is to push you outside your comfort zone whilst urging you to dance.
ewessendorff work is concerned with what cannot be seen (scent, sound, memory, air), she aims to cultivate collective attention and engineer visual and sonic atmospheres that return the body to a sensorial state.
JoeyJoeyJoe is an algorithmic audiovisual artist who creates bizarre soundscapes from scratch, embracing the organic, unpredictable growth of the code.
Lonni Omarii is a graphic designer specialising in digital, motion and editorial design. She uses creative coding and experimental tools to explore her passion for music and advocates for the accessibility of design.
nadya via proxy live codes improvised deconstructions of their produced music, with each performance serving as an experiment in both melody and temporality.
NotAvgNailTech is a creative coder using 3D visuals, physical computing and interactive media that audiences can engage with and manipulate with the goal to showcase to a wider audience that coding can be silly.
On daydreaming leave is a digital artist and live coder based in London. Their research and digital art explores themes including Vogue, cultural identity, diaspora and simulation.
shapesandjapes is a live coder crafting experimental dance-style beats via Strudel. She loves using code to reimagine existing music styles and genres, producing upbeat blends that turn raw logic into high-energy sets.

The Queen Elizabeth Hall is open from 90 minutes before events start until they finish. It’s closed at all other times.
