Wirral Poetry Festival Open Poetry Competition 2025 is open for entries.
The competition is open to poetry written in English, unpublished and of no more than 40 lines long. There is no specified theme, and where relevant poets aged over 18 who live, work or study in Wirral will be forwarded to the Wirral Prize.
Open Poetry Competition Prize:
1st prize £250
Four runners-up £25 each
The Wirral Prize:
Wirral First prize £100
Two runners-up £25 each
Judges:
Helen Ivory and Martin Figura for the Open Poetry Competition and Pauline Rowe for the Wirral Prize.
Winners to be notified by 11 July 2025 and invited to a competition celebration during the Wirral Poetry Festival in October.
