Polylingual Open Mic at Off the Shelf Festival

The Poetry Translation Centre is hosting an open mic night at Coffee Revolution, Sheffield, celebrating the UK’s linguistic diversity, featuring a performance by British-Algerian writer Lydia Hounat, an alumna of the PTC’s first UNDERTOW programme for polylingual young poets.
Those interested in participating in the open mic are welcome to bring two poems, one free choice and one using a non-English language. Everyone will also be given a poem in translation to take home.
