Level 1 Foyer, Royal Festival Hall
A welcoming space for artists and dancers to hone their skills
Also known informally as our ‘cloakroom space’ our Level 1 Foyer is a creative hub, regularly used by artists, dancers and choreographers for rehearsals and training.
We welcome this creative use of our space. It’s also really important to us that as many people as possible can use our foyer spaces safely for informal gatherings or activities, in groups or individually, and that one activity doesn’t prevent another one from taking place.
To ensure this, we publish a monthly timetable showing when the cloakroom can be used for rehearsals and training.
Level 1 Foyer, Royal Festival Hall house rules
When using this space to rehearse or practice you must respect each other, Southbank Centre staff, security and other members of the public.
All music played must be suitable for a general audience including children – no swearing or offensive language. We do not allow any equipment or machines except small music players, and at certain times, due to Southbank Centre performances and rehearsals, music may not be allowed. Please respect this.
Whatever you do in this space please be aware of other people and do not do anything risky or dangerous.
We’ll let you know when you can and can’t use the space, and sometimes we may need to change the timetable at short notice.
