Flat Iron

Serving remarkable steak at an affordable price

Flat Iron is the latest exciting food destination to land at the Southbank Centre.

Led, naturally, by their signature ‘Flat Iron’ steak, a cut renowned for its flavour, tenderness and juiciness, Flat Iron’s menu includes a rotating board of specials, including a  Wagyu steak of the day, Scottish Bavette steak, and a triple cheese truffle burger. As for sides, you can’t go wrong with their popular beef dripping chips, creamed spinach or truffle macaroni cheese.

On the drinks menu you’ll find a selection of carefully chosen wines, including Flat Iron’s own Malbec – blended using grapes from the Limoux region, plus a variety of draft beers, cocktails and fantastic fizz.

Flat Iron’s recognisable design ethos of warm, comfortable spaces, meets the Southbank Centre’s own mid-century heritage in this newly fitted restaurant on Southbank Centre Square, complete with a large heated and softly illuminated outdoor terrace.

First opened by Charlie Carroll as a pop-up above an East London pub in 2012, Flat Iron now consists of 14 restaurants across London, plus additional sites in Cambridge, Leeds and Manchester. Working closely with British farmer Charles Ashbridge, all of Flat Iron’s beef comes from their own Yorkshire-based herd.
