Youth Collective
Our Youth Collective gives young people the space to meet
It’s all part of our commitment to young people and our programme, led by our Arts & Wellbeing team, designed to support young people’s mental health.
Our Youth Collective members, aged 11 – 20, meet once a month to explore a range of free creative activities and engagement projects. It provides a space for them to explore their creativity, build a community, learn new skills and experience the joy of participating in live art.
With a hyper-local focus on Lambeth and Southwark, this programme is rooted in extensive consultations with partners across our local community, bringing together community arts, health, social care and education sectors and, most importantly of all, young people themselves.
To help platform the voices of young people, and ensure our wider Arts & Wellbeing youth programme is shaped, informed, influenced and designed by the people it’s for, this work is delivered in partnership with Black Thrive.
Youth Collective
This group gives you the opportunity to play a key role in co-designing and informing the delivery of our Arts & Wellbeing youth programme. The group will involve meeting one or two times a month and working on creative projects and building skillsets.
Youth Collective members will receive vouchers for participation, a meal at each meeting, and a travel bursary is available for those who need additional support.
Interested in joining?
Our Youth Collective is currently at capacity, but we’re always interested in hearing from young people aged 11 – 20 in Lambeth or Southwark, especially those with:
- underrepresented voices in the arts
- lived experience (e.g. disabled young people, young carers, care-experienced youth)
- ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) backgrounds
- neurodivergent individuals, whether self-identified or formally diagnosed
- young refugees or migrants.
We strongly encourage applications from young people of the Global Ethnic Majority, including LGBTQI+ and from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
Why get involved?
Be heard: Share your ideas and experiences – your voice shapes what happens.
Build skills: Boost your leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Make connections: Meet other inspiring young people and collaborate on real projects.
Get perks: Gain volunteer hours, free tickets and earn vouchers for your expertise.
Make an impact: Help shape events, influence decisions, and make your community better for everyone.
