J Cocoa
J Cocoa is a singer, musician and songwriter from south east London with a voice that’s rich, rooted and radiant, and a life that’s dedicated to creativity.
Having begun her musical journey on the clarinet, J Cocoa’s foundation in jazz informs a vocal tone that moves effortlessly between funky functional soul, afrobeats, dancehall and Latin rhythms. Now exploring the Indian styles of Carnatic and raga, her songwriting is candid and based on matters of the heart.
As well as a member of our choir, Suati, J Cocoa is also Music Director of Thamesmead Community Choir.
