Griot Gabriel

Griot Gabriel (Gabriel Oyediwura) is a poet, poetry workshop facilitator and professional youth worker from Manchester who has worked with children and young people for over 15 years in inner city urban communities.

Gabriel was commissioned to work with CHANEL, exhibiting at the Metiers D’Art Show, has performed at Glastonbury Festival and has written and performed for Warner Bros. He is also the current Manchester’s Slam-o-Vision Champion.  His poem ‘Where I’m From’ was shortlisted for best performed poem for the 2025 Forward Prizes.
